Focus

This Summer, we are heading away on holiday together as a community. We will be joining thousands of others from our church network for a long weekend of amazing teaching, times of worship, food stalls, festival vibes, friendship building, bonfires and so much more.

What is Focus?

Focus is a long weekend where we come together with churches from all across the UK for a big, vibrant summer festival. The days are made up of teaching from world renowned speakers, times of worship, moments to just hang out, play volleyball, go to seminars, have coffee with friends and enjoy a BBQ or two! There are also amazing groups for kids and youth to go to throughout the week. Focus is for everyone and we can’t wait to see you there.

FAQs

  • The nearest train station is Newark North Gate or Newark Castle, both just a five minute drive to Newark Showground. Find out more about travel here.

  • After arrival, all vehicles must be moved to the designated car parks in order to comply with fire and safety regulations. Only emergency vehicles or ones with a valid disabled badge are allowed on site.

  • We will have a dedicated St Nicks community pitch where you can pitch your tent (we unfortunately do not provide any tents to sleep in however, we will have communal gazebos to hang out in during the day). Should you wish to bring a caravan, that is also an option (take a look below for more information). There are also Bunkabins available for you to hire (a short walk away from the St Nicks community pitch) which are fully equipped containers, ideal for those who are unsure about camping but want to stay on site!

  • Yes! We will have a dedicated St Nicks community pitch where we will all be able to camp together and hang out throughout the day.

  • Of course! We’ll have a whole St Nicks team ready to help you put up your tent and get ready for the weekend.

  • Yes you can! If you do not require electricity you can park your caravan on the St Nicks community pitch. However, should your caravan require power, we can not guarantee you will be able to park on the pitch itself.

  • Yes, there are lots of options onsite including hot meals and supplies for camping. There will be a mix of coffee stalls, light snack stalls, smoothie stalls and full meal stalls.

  • We will provide breakfast everyday on the St Nicks pitch for us to enjoy together as community. We will also be hosting a couple of BBQs as well as supplying tea and coffee throughout the day.

  • If you're running low on supplies but don't want to leave the action on site, you can do your shopping online and arrange for it to be delivered to you!

You'll need to make sure you've provided the supermarket with a mobile number, the contractor entrance postcode (NG24 2NY) and which colour cluster you are in, as they'll call you when they have arrived on site so that you can come and collect your purchases. Details on your colour cluster will be provided closer to the event. There will be a delivery point at the entrance of each cluster where your food will be dropped off. Please arrange to be free during the delivery slot so that you can pick up your shopping promptly, and bring some muscle with you to get your food back to camp!

  • There are amazing groups for your kids and youth to go to throughout the week. All of this will be included as part of their ticket. More specific information to follow.

  • None of the events taking place at Focus are compulsory so essentially you have as much free time as you need. We do recommend however, attending the morning and evening events that take place all together as these are key times to gather and worship as one big community. If you are on team, you will be informed of the times you are required to serve so you know when you have free time.

  • Day tickets will be released approximately six weeks before the event. Please note, only children attending Focus for the whole event will be able to join the Focus Kids program.

  • We want everyone to be able to come to Focus so if money is an issue, please do get in touch with us.

  • Pets are unfortunately not allowed on-site, with the exception of guide dogs for the blind, dogs for the deaf and assistance dogs for people with disabilities. Please contact us should you need to bring a guide dog or an assistance dog on-site.
